Our department maintains dynamic, reciprocal relationships with leading universities in Asia. Recent highlights from our 2026 international exchange programs include:
- Tri-Nation International Exchange & Conference (March 2026) We successfully hosted a major inbound delegation comprising faculty and students from Niigata University of Health and Welfare (NUHW, Japan), Chiba Institute of Science (CIS, Japan), and Chulalongkorn University (CU, Thailand). This 5-day event featured the first-ever "Tri-Nation International Conference" to share academic research and medical education advancements. The delegations also participated in clinical skill center (OSCE) observations and an exclusive corporate visit to Adimmune Corporation to witness Taiwan's cutting-edge vaccine manufacturing capabilities.
- Academic & Clinical Observational Visit to NUHW, Japan (July 2026) Led by our faculty, a delegation of undergraduate students will visit our sister school, NUHW in Japan. The program focuses on "Immersive Laboratory Teaching" and provides rare observational access to specialized Medical Engineering facilities (such as ventilators, dialysis, and ECMO equipment) not typically covered in traditional domestic curriculum. This visit also serves as a strategic step to advance discussions on a Double Degree program.
- Summer Clinical Practice at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand (August 2026) Supported by a Ministry of Education grant for overseas internships, selected students will undertake a four-week clinical industry internship at the ISO 15189-certified Health Sciences Service Clinic of Chulalongkorn University. In a fully English-speaking environment, students will receive hands-on training in molecular diagnostics and explore regional specialties in tropical medicine, including dengue fever and parasite diagnostics.
- Summer Student Visit to CIS, Japan (Summer 2026) Following the successful inbound visit in March, we are organizing a student visit to Chiba Institute of Science (CIS) in September 2026. This program will strengthen collaboration between the two institutions and provide undergraduate students with laboratory internship opportunities.
